Remeshok Chetki - Aluminum Beavertail Edition
Our Aluminum Remeshok chetki deliver an excellent experience, coming in at what many will feel to be an optimal weight. The sandblasted natty version moves smoothly and softly between the fingers, and the anodized versions feature stunning colour saturation in both red and blue, and a glossy polished finish giving them just a little more grip than the blasted version. As a softer metal, the finishes on the aluminum versions will age over time, showing dings and scratches, but due to the style of play, the wear tends to be less than comparable begleri sets (for example). The aluminum beavertail ends will feel hefty and substantial to players who are accustomed to wooden or polymer sets, but the weight is practical rather than punishing. The ends swing into position with solid momentum, and lock nicely in place as the other end is released. b
General Information on the Beavertail Mods
Our new Beavertail Edition of the popular Remeshoks feature an elongated end bead, tapered to a stout thickness at the outer end, and rounded for a comfortable experience. The Beavertails are thus named not because they particularly look like beavertails.. but rather, based on the naming convention for longer, thinner canoe paddles, because they're super slappy (as you'll soon find out), and also, obviously, because Canada, eh. They have a sleek appearance, but it's not just aesthetics. These extended ends have a somewhat surprising effect of locking the ends into place between the fingers. They are narrow enough to slip through the fingers with ease, but when there is tension at an angle, the beads act like a lever. This effectively prevents them from slipping through the fingers when you don’t want them too, and also creates a springiness as the tension is absorbed and released during play.
Since the Beavertails are longer than any end beads we’ve launched to date, we’ve found it wise to shorten up the length of the joining section between the ends. For the new Beavertail mods, we’ve trimmed it down to 16+2. The overall length in each case is similar.

These have a surprising heft to them after mainly using lighter materials (wood/delrin/acrylic). The weight on the beavertails really gives them momentum in the swings. The sandblasted finish offers a nice texture without being rough. The texture and the softer metal do show some wear and tear pretty quickly, but it does not impair the play at all. It gives it a nice worn look that I love. I find myself constantly reaching for this one.
My first set of chetki. Took me a couple of days to get the feel for them. I tend to have very dry hands and even the polished stuff likes to slip out. That being said this is a nice set. The color is amazing and weight feels good. Highly recommend!
My 2nd chetki and 1st metal. I love the weight of it. It is great for having that extra oomph to it but like Matt said, doesn’t hurt when using it if you’re a beginner like me. The beavertail ends are nice and easy to grab and the texture feels so much different but good different than i expected. It feels soft and smooth. The weight is great for bead counting and raindrops too!
Feels just perfect! I have a Delrin one with brass ends and 6 brass links added. It plays totally differently (i have some paddles and Delrin accents on the way to change that up) But this thing is destined to live in my pocket with my titans and my aluminum knuckle bone. As you say in the drop vid, the weight just feels so good, and the beavertails are dreamy. I have blue Padushka on to way, (i want yellow >>>will get that when avail<<<) so I imagine it will have some competition.
