Monk Bag
A good, simple shoulder bag is infinitely versatile, and there are variations on the theme found in cultures all around the world--the bucket-on-a-strap is tried and true. The simple cloth bags worn by Buddhist monks are an excellent example. With a thick strap, and deep open pocket, the bags are comfortable on the shoulder, low profile, and highly functional.
Aroundsquare's take on this distinctive style of shoulder bag features a single large compartment, a beefy wide strap, durable cotton canvas construction, and a simple inner drawstring pouch attached so that it hangs inside the main compartment. This pouch gives a means of keeping higher-priority or higher-value items secure and close at hand, and alternately, provides a tidy stuff-sack for the bigger bag if you want to bundle it away when it's not in use. The bags are grey, and are boldly yet tastefully branded with a large, light blue wordmark on the front face. Note, these are not intended to be worn cross-body. The strap length is sized so that the the bags tuck under the arm for security, much like the Colombian arhuaca mochilas.

Great bag. Does all that bag stuff you would expect.
I’m at a loss for words…
Great, sturdy canvas. It's really comfortable to wear, and stays on my shoulder well when walking around. It's a nice alternative to a backpack. I don't always need to carry so many things. The smaller bag is a great place for my wallet, and some begleri to be within easy reach. And, of course folds right into it for easy storage when not in use.
Amazing quality and durable as always from AroundSquare! Was not expecting it to be so sick! AND it fits in its own pouch? Def gonna be using it as an everyday work bag. Thanks AO²!
