Aroundsquare's Hydra Begleri are a fun yet highly capable modern adaptation of the traditional Greek multi-bead begleri. The Mini Hydra design has been praised by elite players as one of the best begleri sets available, but it is equally great for beginners and advanced players alike. There is something special about the size, shape, weight, and multi-bead configuration that makes the Mini Hydras a favourite that players keep coming back to.

2025 has seen the introduction of our re-designed Mini Hydras. The adjustment is subtle with an increased rounding around the edge but it's a reflection of our incessant need for refinement and evolution. The generous rounding on the beads makes them extremely comfortable to handle, and softens the impact on the hands during play. 

Acrylic Editions
The acrylic/ SS, the same funky and brilliantly unique acrylic swirl material we've used in our other acrylic releases, but varied just enough that each set will be a special one of a kind experience. This edition is coming in four different variants being a jade green, a warm orange, a subtle pink, and a fourth mashup which can only be referred to as gumball machine. The stainless steel beads feature an "aroundsquare" word mark, laser etched on one side.

Delrin Editions
The highly anticipated Delrin /SS Mini Hydra combo returns in the classic Black, White, Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow you’ve come to know and love. Just like the acrylics, the Delrin beads feature our new 2025 modernized version of the Mini Hydras.

The combo of either an acrylic or delrin bead with one ss bead on either end gives a very versatile (frankly, near perfect) weight, and has the added advantage of being swappable, meaning that you can put the SS bead out towards the knot for slower play and more control, or change the SS bead to the inner side for a lighter and nimbler feeling set and a very different play experience.
