Knucklebone - Larges & Extra Larges Delrin
AO2's Knucklebone is the original hardbody knuckle roller, make no mistake. This is a simple skill toy that is manipulated with the fingers of one or both hands to perform tricks and patterns, or simply to pass the time. It is very discrete (unless dropped) and can be played in very restricted spaces, and in contexts where other showier skill toys may not be appropriate.
The kbone is very appealing, not only for its elegant form and ergonomic design, but also, for the range of play styles that it enables. The rounded lines are perfect for spinning, flipping, and passing it between the fingers. It can be manipulated very casually and quietly like a worry stone, or can be used to perform a surprising array of freestyle flows, technical tricks, isolations, and even aerials.
Delrin Edition
The delrin knucklebones, while relatively inexpensive, are prized among players for their versatility and feel. Unlike metal and other plastics, delrin has a warm feeling, almost reminiscent of wood. It is also very durable, and stubbornly resists dings and breakage. It will scratch, but because it is relatively light, it tends not to take (or inflict) heavy damage when it is dropped.
The weight and smoothness of the toy are variables that affect play, and each material seems to be suited to different kinds of tricks. The delrin version is conducive to quiet manipulation and two-play including transfers, twiddling between fingers, and two-handed rolls.

Got a white delrin large and I have to say it's a solid diversification for the collection. I think it would probably be something easier for beginners to learn on. I like using it when I'm drinking my morning coffee and not quite feeling sharp/quick yet. Not a replacement for the original size - but definitely something to try if you are considering it
I fell in love with the knuckle bone. I had the regular polished metal. I enjoyed the weight and feel of it but it seemed to make my hand cramp due to the size. I then searched the site and found there was a XL version. I got the white XL and really enjoyed the size. However, I really had my eyes set on the Blue XL. Sadly it was all sold out and I'm not sure if a metal XL is even a thing. I reached out to Will and he was responsive and kind about my request. I ordered the black XL to tide me over until more blue XL comes back into stock. I think a metal XL would be phenomenal for us big handed folks. Genius ideas nonetheless.
The Large Delrin KBone is the perfect size and shape for my XL sized hands and the XL KBone is a comfortable and fun roller. The Large KBone is close enough in size and shape to the OG KBone that anyone who likes one, should like the other. The XL is different enough to bring a new play experience to rolling, but will not be so large as to be unplayable even in smaller hands. The delrin holds up well in a range of conditions, though high humidity and sweaty hands will negatively impact play. I have all sizes of delrin KBones and they are all a great choice
I was leery of the large, but am no more! The large is a fab alternative to the original in my short-fingered, piano octave wide hand…The scaled up proportions make this surprisingly agile for laddering where the original gets ‘twiddled’ between thumb and index. Love having the choice—and the blue just makes me happy!
Large is the size I like best. Always have one in my pocket! Still feels glass smooth even after hundreds of drops on hard surfaces!
