Jue Zhi Banzhi - Standard Metal Editions

Aroundsquare's Jue Zhi banzhi model is a stat-maxed version of the original Aroundsquare banzhi thumb ring. They’re thick-walled, weighty, and generously rounded to make them extremely comfortable despite their size. Similar to the way in which we beefed up our Deadeyes with our Doubloon Deadeyes, and our Hollows with our Donut Hollows, the Jue Zhi offers that similarly enhanced tactile feel.
While the banzhis can be manipulated, we present them primarily as mindfulness tools, something to hold and feel in the hand, which helps remind us to come back to the present moment. The new dimensions of this model facilitate that experience, and the name Jue Zhi combines jué (awakening/awareness) with zhǐ (ring), and derives from the term juéwù, meaning consciousness.

Titanium Edition

Even in titanium, the Jue Zhi banzhi design is a heavy hitter. The dimensions of these thumb rings are substantial, making their presence felt, while the rounding on the edges makes them very comfortable to wear and manipulate despite the size. The extra mass of the Jue Zhi design is a big part of its appeal. Worn on the thumb, the ring has a constant physical presence that makes it especially satisfying as a tactile or mindfulness object, while still leaving plenty of room for manipulation.
The Titanium Edition is crafted from Gr5 titanium and finished with a high polish. In comparison to the original titanium banzhi, the Jue Zhi model is less subtle in size, but its appearance is slightly cleaner, with the logo being displayed only on the interior of the band.

Heavy Metal Editions

The Heavy Metal Editions of the Jue Zhi lean further into mass, with weighty materials that make a huge statement on the hand, while maintaining a constant reminder of their presence with every movement. They are available in stainless steel, brass, and copper. Each of these materials has its own virtues.
Stainless Steel: The hardest and lightest of the three, and will not patina like the other two.
Brass: A patina metal that will darken and show its age readily with use.
Copper: Softer than brass and also a patina metal; it will darken substantially and show its age readily with use.
