With a name like Aroundsquare, it was obviously just a matter of time. The Cube Mala began as a bit of an experiment—reimagining a traditional strand of round beads in square form. The clean geometry creates a striking architectural profile, while in the hand the rounded edges and ample bores allow the beads to rotate naturally, settling comfortably into the grip. Despite their angular form, the beads adapt to the movement of the hand and wrist, making the mala as satisfying to handle as it is distinctive to look at.

The cube beads look almost confrontational when you first see them—all corners and flat faces—but on the wrist they naturally rotate against one another and settle surprisingly comfortably. You're not constantly getting poked by corners; the geometry simply finds its own arrangement and the beads sit flat against the wrist.

In the hand they're unlike anything else we make. There's something especially satisfying about rolling all those little flat surfaces and edges against one another, and the choice of metal gives each edition a distinct character that suits the design in its own way.

Titanium Edition

Machined from Grade 5 titanium and finished with our matching Cube Guru bead, the Titanium Cube Mala is substantial without being cumbersome, with enough weight to feel deliberate in the hand while remaining comfortable for extended handling, bead practice, or everyday wear. At around 108g, the set carries a satisfying presence without weighing you down.

This edition is striking and highly distinctive. It may not be for everyone, and that's fine, but some designs simply deserve to exist by their own virtues, and this is one. For those drawn to unconventional geometry, minimalist design, fresh tactiles, or the pleasure of discovering familiar objects made unfamiliar, the Cube Mala offers a clean new perspective on one of humanity's oldest and most ubiquitous accoutrements.

Heavy Metal Editions（Brass & Copper）

The unique tactile character of the cube bead mala is wildly accentuated with the heavier brass and copper editions. In the hand, the heavier metals give the sets a substantial presence that suits the design beautifully. There's a distinct satisfaction in rolling all those flat surfaces and crisp edges against one another.. the density of brass and copper adds a grounded, deliberate feel that transforms the handling experience entirely.

Note that the copper is completely raw and untreated because we that for copper lovers, the patina process is a big part of the charm. We'll do our best to get them out the door looking pristine, but please understand that raw copper pretty starts to oxidize the moment it hits the air. That's part of the deal, and part of the appeal.
