Slow your roll with Aroundsquare's take on the classic ninja weapon. Aroundsquare's Caltrops take their name from the old area-denial device, small, spiked objects scattered to slow movement and discourage pursuit. Versions of them appear across cultures, from medieval battlefields to the popular imagination of ninja lore. Ours are a little less aggressive, but no less effective.
The Caltrops are small, solid four-pronged metal rests designed to keep your tools in place. Set one on your desk and rest a pen or knucklebone between the rounded points to keep it from rolling away. Simple, beautiful, and effective; a tiny intervention in the tendency of things to drift.
They’re available in both brass and stainless steel meaning they’ll have a noticeable bit of weight. They are machine finished, and do not have rubber pads, so they will slide on smooth surfaces if provoked.
