20mm Boss Mala 

At 20mm in diameter, the new Boss Mala sets are the biggest, boldest beads we've ever produced. Over the past few years, as mala beads have become more commonplace, we've expanded our range to include more materials and bolder options, first at 15mm diameter, then at 17mm diameter. Now finally hitting 20mm, it is safe to assume that these sets are what the kids would call the mala beads Final Boss. It would be hard to overstate the presence that these beads convey when you hold them in your hand or slide them onto the wrist.

Titanium Editions

The titanium 20mm Boss Mala make their presence felt. Although titanium is a lighter metal, the solid mass of material adds up, and at around 214g set, you'll feel the heft. Together, the size, weight, and shape of the beads make for a very satisfying tactile experience, both on the wrist and in the hand. As a breathwork or meditation set, or simply as a mindfulness tool, the feel of the beads as you shift them between the fingers is extremely grounding and satisfying.

These feature 11 of our 20mm Boss beads which fit perfectly with our 20mm Guru Boss bead. The Stupa bead on the end of the Guru completes the look, resonating with traditional wooden mala sets, while bringing all the presence and properties of grade five titanium.

Natural Material Editions

Following the success of the 20mm titanium version, we’ve expanded the collection with two beautiful natural materials: Tagua Nut and Yak Horn, each paired with our titanium 20mm Guru beads. 

At this scale, the character of the materials becomes impossible to ignore. Tagua has a smooth, almost wax-like feel that is warm and inviting in the hand, while Yak Horn offers a slightly crisper texture with rich natural variation. No two sets are exactly alike; subtle shifts in color and pattern are part of what makes these materials so compelling. 

Both materials are durable, and will age well with care. Tagua nut ranges from pure white to slightly yellow, and will naturally “antique” over time, mimicking elephant ivory by taking on a slight yellow tint as it ages through use. Yak horn is principally black, but some beads include swirls of brown or golden colour, with colours becoming deeper and glossier over time.

Despite their generous size, both materials remain surprisingly lightweight, making these malas comfortable to carry, wear, or simply handle throughout the day. Whether used for bead practice, contemplation, or as an everyday companion, they invite a slower, more tactile experience than their metal counterparts.

As with all natural materials, each mala is unique. Variations in color, grain, and tone are not imperfections, but a reflection of the organic nature of the material itself and an essential part of its character.
