Aroundsquare’s Deadeyes are part skill toy, part worry stone, part mind control device. Roll them between your fingers, or press use your thumb into the smooth contour and breath deep to dissolve the stresses of daily life.

These contact coins are designed to be handled and manipulated. On the surface, the Deadeyes look like just a refined worry stone made from metal, and they certainly serve well for that. They are precisely crafted and beautifully finished, with an ergonomic indent on either side that is perfect for thumbs of any size. But as you’d expect from AO2, there’s more to it than that. The concave shape and resulting ridge around the perimeter make the Deadeyes perfect for contact-style manipulation. With practice, they can be made to roll fluidly between the fingers, or back and forth over the thumbs, and isolations can be performed where the coins appear to be floating around the fingertips.

  • Three finishes available: 
    • Blasted: Aggressively sandblasted for a rough, sparkling finish.. These start out very rough, but soften over time with use. 
    • Tumbled: These pieces are first blasted, then tumbled, to soften the finish. These are slightly darker than machine finished or sandblasted titanium pieces. 
    • Mirror polished: Beautifully polished. These will pick up abrasions and scratches over time but remain beautiful and very playable. Counter-intuitively, these have the most grip due to the glossy surface. 

All Deadeyes are packaged in a box, and ship with Aroundsquare stickers.

Awesome dead eye

I have always been a big fan of fidget toys, juggling and playing kendama so when I first saw one of these in a video, I immediately wanted one. I finally found a use for that small pocket on my pants. I have been carrying this with me everywhere and play with it all the time throughout the day, I work in a cannabis dispensary so i’m always talking to people and running back-and-forth through the store grabbing items having this dead eye has been great for keeping my hand and mine occupied. I’m always flipping it and moving it through my hands while helping customers it’s very relaxing and therapeutic it’s crazy how versatile such a small little piece of round metal can be, but it’s extremely fun to play with and has been a conversation starter with quite a few of my other coworkers and gives me something else to do when I’m on my breaks I will definitely be purchasing more for the collection in the future. They are beautifully made, and absolutely stunning to look at fresh out of the box. I would highly recommend this to somebody who finds themselves fidgeting with things or the type of person that gets bored and starts drumming on things like I do lol aroundsquare gets a 10 out of 10 rating for me. Amazing craftsmanship shipping was quick and easy. I just can’t believe it took me so long to buy one.

Pleasure to use

I purchased the smaller, smooth version, which is proving very comfortable to use because of its careful shaping.
This is my second AroundSquare product, having previously purchased a knucklebone in the UK. Both are lots of fun, but perhaps as important for me, in my sixties working at a computer all day, they help keep my hands/fingers supple. My organisation's H&S advice includes recommendations for various exercises through the day. For me, these items are doing a better job for my hands than anything else I've tried.
