General Information on The Difference Between an Orange

"The Difference Between An Orange" does not take itself  too seriously. It’s a playful, yet insightful, exploration of ideas meant to challenge the echo chambers that social media often traps us in. 22 More Differenters

This is no chicken and egg situation. First there was an orange. Then, there was the difference between an orange. Eventually there were 22.  But the differences just didn't stop. It was crazy. Almost every month we release a new issue of our leaflet, The Difference Between an Orange. We release it on paper, and we mail it to whoever asks for it, for free. Then it's gone. There are no PDFs or back issue restocks. 

After a couple of years of sending out these leaflets, we decided to compile the content from the first 22 issues, and bind them up into a little book. That was The First 22 Differences, and it covered January 2022 to November 2023. When we rounded the corner on 2025, we realized another couple of years had passed, and the little leaflet is still going strong, so we've bundled up the issues from January 2024 to November 2025, and we're pleased to present 22 More Differenters. 

The contents cover a wide range to topics, from creativity and critical thinking to  psychology, productivity, and metacognition. It's eclectic, inclusive, and playful. 

The First 22 Differences

The First 22 Differences is a compilation born out of our monthly leaflet project, The Difference Between an Orange. This volume includes the first two years of leaflet content, bound together without anything fanciful, into a soft cover book. The monthly leaflet features a collection of tidbits intended to provoke, unsettle, and inspire. Each issue contains a mix of curiosities, critical concepts, creative sparks, and constructive possibilities—elements designed to shake up our settled worldviews and disrupt the complacency we often fall into as we age. The content is a blend of reflections, tools, and approaches that, while brief and intentionally incomplete, aim to spark new questions and fresh perspectives.

The First 22 Differences includes all of the content released in the first two years of circulation. The slim softcover book has similar dimensions to the original leaflets, totalling 134 pages. The books are printed on 75g smooth paper, with a sturdy 300g softcover and crack-free, stitched binding ensure durability, making it a delightful keepsake for the intellectually curious.
