They have a sleek appearance, but it's not just aesthetics. These extended ends have a somewhat surprising effect of locking the ends into place between the fingers. They are narrow enough to slip through the fingers with ease, but when there is tension at an angle, the beads act like a lever. This effectively prevents them from slipping through the fingers when you don’t want them too, and also creates a springiness as the tension is absorbed and released during play. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSince the Beavertails are longer than any end beads we’ve launched to date, we’ve found it wise to shorten up the length of the joining section between the ends. For the Beavertail mods, we’ve trimmed it down to 16+2 (compared to the 17+2 configuration of the original Remeshoks). The weight and feel are awesome, and the solidness of the lengthy beavertail end plates delivers a terrifically satisfying clack.
