Chef's Specials
Chef's Specials - NuKong Dubleri
If you already own a pair of Mini Dubulo (aka monkey knuckles), you’ve probably been at least tempted to try this. For this month’s Chef’s Special, we’re stringing up the orbiting balls of this classic as begleri. The resulting setup looks comically large, until you play it. If refreshingly heavy is a thing, these are it. They’re around 13.5g per ball, much heavier than most of our range these days, but because of the large size and lower density than our metal beads, they don’t quite feel their weight. The large size gives you a lot to handle, and tons of control, while the round shape keeps them out of your way and eases transitions between grips compared to smaller but more angular beads. For anyone looking for something offering a very different feel, or a comfortably heavier set to help with learning momentum based tricks, the NuKongs are here for you.
Details:
- Includes two delrin "knuckles" ~27mm in diameter
- Full set weight ~27.6g
- Bore size on all beads is 3.5mm
- Available in single colour sets: black, white, blue, green, yellow, red
- Designed for use with 550 paracord (included). All extras such as cord, stickers, pouch etc. will vary depending on availability.
NOTE: For "Custom" colour combinations, select "custom" in the dropdown, and be sure to use traditional click through checkout so you can include a note about your colour choices for two large knuckles and two small grip beads.
Note that because the delrin models are so smooth on the string, they are slightly more difficult to learn the basics on than the wooden models. Intermediate and advanced players will almost certainly appreciate and prefer the feel and performance of the delrin, but beginners may prefer to start on one of the wooden models, or to start developing their skills with just one ball on the string, until they develop a feel for the way these flow.
